A Michigan man is hospitalized in serious condition after he was shot by his brother who mistook him for a deer.
The brothers were hunting and had reportedly shot a deer earlier in the day. But the deer was able to walk away and they split up to look for him. Eventually one of the men spotted something moving in a cornfield and fired his rifle at what he assumed was the injured animal, but it was actually his brother.
The 28-year-old victim was airlifted to the hospital and is listed in stable but serious condition. The deer was never found. (USA Today)
Hot Takes:
- It’s hunting season, and accidents often do occur.
- It obviously wasn’t a good idea for them to split up.
- The score is deer-1, hunter-0.
